The Federal Cloud Advisory Board will be rolling out a voluntary membership program in the next few weeks. Several of our more experienced FedRAMP members have indicated they want to give back to the community and help others go through this process. We are currently developing the guidelines so stay tuned for future announcements.
Mentors:
Do’s
- Agree on how often you can meet and how best to contact each other
- Add a short 1-3 paragraph on this website discussing your experience with FedRAMP, if desired.
- Set clear norms for the meetings, establish limits, goals and parameters.
- Stay in touch after the mentoring program ends, consider keeping the door open for future contact if both parties are comfortable.
- Keep what is discussed private. Avoid sharing confidential information.
Don’ts
- If you are unsure if you have time to spend at least 1/2 hour twice a month helping someone, please don’t sign up. Wait until your schedule is more open.
- Sit on any 3PAO meetings in your mentee’s company
- Take over or do what the mentee should be doing
- Be a no show. If you no show to repeatedly, we will remove you from the program and remove your name and experience description from the website.
- Don’t assume your advice will always be followed.
